OK, so I’m gonna start off with a question: If you could do one thing to improve your experience of Nia — your Niability — what would that be? Would it be improving your balance? Moving more safely? Getting a better cardio workout? Understanding one of the Principles better? What’s going on inside of you, Nia-wise, that feels like it’s asking for more?

For me, off the top of my head, it’s a toss up between landing side kicks better and being able to dive deeper into my sensations as I move. That’s funny, now that I mention it. It pretty much sums up my bi-directional focus on Nia: one eye on the physical technique, the other on the ‘energetic’ aspect of Nia as a somatic experience.

But enough about me. I want to know what’s going on with you!

Heart Hugs,

In true Kat sprit, I’ve decided to call my “blog” something completely different. That’s because the world “blog” stems from the words “Web log.” And, let’s face it, many “logs” out there are as good at creating conversations as their namesake. Sure, blogs are great places for people to express their passions. And that’s a wonderful thing. But that’s different than what I want to do here.

My passion behind developing this site is to create meaningful dialogues about the thing we all love: The Nia Technique. But more specifically, I want this to be a place where all kinds of people (with any kind of body) can talk about the one thing they have in common: a desire to deepen their Niability.

That’s why I prefer to call these pages Kat Chat, because I want this “Web log” to be a fun and interesting place for me (Kat) to talk with you (chat) about stuff that interests us all.

So please participate! Throw in your thoughts, or questions, or ideas. Whether you’re new to Nia or an accomplished pro — anyone who’s interested in deepening their ability to do Nia — their Niability — is welcome!
