Niability – a Huge Hit at Headquarters
A Taste of Niability went off without a hitch at headquarters on the weekend of July 31, 2010. It was a a delicious 12-hour sampling of the 24-hour workshop that Nia co-founder
Debbie Rosas describes as an “absolutely fundamental part of continuing education.”
Here’s some feedback Debbie sent Kat about it: “Congratulations … Kat, this is exciting; you did a great job.”
And here’s something from Julia Hughes, a Nia Teacher and HQ staff member: “I was raving to Jeff [Nia’s CEO] so he asked me to write [this]:
- “Similar to music or art appreciation, Niability is a class in Nia appreciation. Drawing on wisdom from Masters of the Nine Movement forms — presented in video, movement, and lecture — Niability provides tools, language, and awareness that educate and inspire your Nia practice. Participants are invited into a deeper listening and understanding of Nia, and gain a heightened ability to perceive the foundational energies that infuse Nia movement. This workshop powerfully impacts the practice of Nia for both students and professionals. The awareness cultivated during this event empowers you to generate deeper levels of enjoyment, appreciation, and effectiveness in the practice of Nia.”
Other wonderful students weighed in with their praise:
- “It was a pleasure – divine. Thank you Kat!” – Jill Pagano Carr, Nia Black Belt and Next Generation Teacher Trainer
- “Niability was a luminescent highlight of my Nia training. Kat delivered an impeccable transmission of the nine movement forms. Her workshop was deliciously digestable and most of all, a truly enjoyable learning experience. Receiving the benefits of her passionate and detailed research of the nine movement forms was invaluable and essential to my growth, not only as a Nia practitioner, but as a Nia teacher as well.” – Beth Noelle, Nia Blue Belt
- “Thanks again for the wonderful weekend! I’ve already applied some of the martial arts techniques to a few of my Pilates clients!” – [sent the day after] Cathy Schlieman, Nia White Belt
- “Often I find workshops to be so overwhelming. This was enough info to tantalize me and give me something to integrate for now, without rearranging my entire perception of the cosmos. A taste of Niability was the perfect complement to my Whitebelt. You provided the facts of Nia’s family tree in a concise, experiential way! I can feel it infusing my form and passion already! Thanks Kat!” – Kara Mckay, Nia White Belt Instructor
