Workshop Itinerary
This workshop is a series of 2-hour segments filled with multi-media learning (instruction, discussion, photographs, and video) and multi-experience practice (technique education, movement form practice, and freedance). In this way, each movement form is covered in depth as it relates to the Nia Technique.
March 16 — Alexander Technique, Aikido, Duncan Dance
March 17— Tae Kwon Do, Feldenkrais, Modern Dance
March 18 — Jazz Dance, Tai Chi, Yoga, Integration
How much moving/sitting/lecturing is involved?
No worries — this isn’t 3 days of Nia routines, nor is it one long lecture. Instead, you’ll be guided through a make-it-easy-to-learn process that will be approximately:
- 30% receiving great new information and watching fun video clips
- 30% hands-on — or rather “feet-on” — exploration of new and better ways of moving, and
- 30% freedancing to your newly-discovered Movement Form Energies within you.
